Aria had to admit she never thought the day would come where she would be trying to cheer up Sam over his heartbreak with Quinn. Not only had Aria been bitter about her break up with Sam, but even she had to admit that they seemed perfect for each other, maybe that was why Aria had been so bitter. She still remembered clearly how for days she felt like she had never been good enough for Sam and of course due to her anger she stopped talking to him all together, but months had passed and she had moved on. She was happy with Jason, well as happy as you could be, unfortunately Jason was barely around and it was taking a toll on their relationship. On most nights Aria was lonely and while they skyped or texted it just wasn’t enough, especially with this new A lurking around; once again Aria was living in fear.
The idea of a reconciliation with Sam was very tempting, which was why she decided to try to help him deal with this break up, despite everything Sam Evans was still one of the best guys she knew and she had been lucky to date him. She knew that having had the chance to date him she was able to get to know him on a much deeper level. Sam had left her breathless and heartbroken all in the matter of a few months, but being bitter about what happened between then wasn’t helping her any and she hated seeing him so distraught and what better way to help than to play some good ‘ol laser tag.
Aria couldn’t help the smile that crept on her face when she thought about playing some laser tag with Sam. She knew he’d enjoy it and she definitely enjoyed some laser tag it appealed to their kid at heart personalities. She opted to wear red pants, some black flats, and a sheer off the shoulder creame colored top. It was totally casual and very perfect for what they were doing today. It was probably best to just meet up at the arcade so she sent him a text that she was on her way there. Thankfully, today she was on time and the weather outside was a blessing so she parked a few blocks away and walked to meet up with him feeling a little nervous because since the break up they hadn’t spent any alone time together. She finally arrived at the entrance and searched around for the familiar blond unable to tame those damn butterflies in her stomach.
It was becoming much more common for Aria to head on over to Jason’s house. The last few days they had become a little too busy to spend some time together, so she was more than happy when he insisted she come over. With A hounding her again she kind of just wanted the sense of security that Jason gave her when they were together. Aria couldn’t keep herself from daydreaming about Jason, he had been making her feel so great lately and while she had a bit of a fear that this was all too good to be true she tried to put that nagging thought at bay with the thought of seeing him again. It didn’t take long for her to pull something on to wear, just yoga pants, and an over sized sweater. They were staying in so there was no need to dress up. She drove over to his house and knocked on his door anxious to look into those mesmerizing eyes of his.
Jason: wasn’t a hundred percent sure what was going on with Aria. At first he figured it was his fault for not really responding to the kiss right away. But now that he thought about it. He kind of wished he’d done something a little quicker. He shook the thought from his head and promised to make it up to her today. Jason slumped down in his couch and turned on the TV, patiently waiting for Aria to show up.
After the last time she saw Jason she felt a huge sense of relief come over her. It felt really great to be talking to him again and even though she was deeply confused about how she felt about him, it was still nice to be able to spend time with him. Things were so different now, even though she still felt slightly broken sometimes, at the same time she could feel herself moving on and it seemed like Jason couldn’t have turned up at a better time. She had to admit some buried feelings for him were slowly beginning to rise to the surface and she was trying her absolute hardest not to let Samara’s new interest in Jason get to her. After all, did she really have a right to get jealous? Whether she had the right or not she was jealous and it was making her act really different and he seemed to notice.
She exhaled and threw on some yoga pants, an off the shoulder sweater, and flats. They were just going out for a walk, but she couldn’t seem to contain her smile because it the texts they shared there was a touch of flirting and he had mentioned how he wanted to see her. It gave her some hope that she hadn’t exactly messed up everything the first time Jason told her he cared about her. Things were different now and she needed to take advantage of the opportunity life was giving her. It didn’t take very long for her to get to his new home and in a matter of minute she found herself knocking on the door and waiting for his answer.
Aria: was so happy to be going to the movies with Emily. It felt like she hadn’t spent time with Emily in awhile so it would be nice to see her. Aria had been trying to keep herself distracted and moving on, it was slowly getting easier, but she was nowhere near being okay with everything going on. Aria pulled on a summer dress to match the hot summer weather as she let her thoughts roam free. Now to add to her plate was the re-appearance of Jason, not that it was a bad thing; more of a shock really, but she didn’t know quite how to deal with it. They had never dated or anything, but she had crushed on him for years and he did kiss her last year. She loved that she was getting close to him, but back then she had been in a relationship and she had to let go of the type of relationship they had built together. A lot of good that did her because here she was in Lima single as ever. Of course after meeting with him last night she had started to dream about him again and she figured she could talk to Emily about it because the first time this had happened she had told Emily about it. Now all she needed to do was wait for Emily. She was really looking forward to seeing Snow White to so at least her day was looking up.
Mike looked around his kitchen as he tried to figure out where the cooking supplies were. He was not one to cook but he figured it would be nice to cook Aria dinner. She had been through a lot lately and he was worried about her. Of course he couldn’t tell her that. He tried but she insisted she was fine. He would just have to take her word that she was okay. He knew this would make her feel a little better. No matter how they acted toward each other, Mike was thankful to have her in his life. He loved Aria more than anyone else. She was the only person there for him when he was going through his depression. She made things easier for him and never gave up on him. The least he could do was cook her a nice dinner. He finally found the stuff he needed and began to work on his dish. He had planned to make lasagna. He had no clue if Aria even like it but it was the simplest recipe he could find on such short notice.
He began preparing the ingredients. He had no clue how much work cooking actually took. He began to mix the ingredients as he thought back to his time here in Lima. It had been good to him. He had actually gone out with Brittany and the people here seemed really nice. He smiled as he thought about Brittany. He wasn’t sure what was going on with Santana and her anymore but he knew he enjoyed spending time with her. He wondered if he should talk to Aria about it. He knew he could tell her anything but he really didn’t want to jump to conclusions. He waited around for the lasagna to bake. Once he was finished he called Aria down to the kitchen.
Aria knew Mike had been planning to cook dinner for her. The thought alone brought a smile to her face; a rare sight for anyone to see these days. Aria had been feeling so down since the break up, it had really messed with her heart, emotions, and head. Not to mention she just really missed Sam; she missed the closeness they shared or maybe it was the feeling of knowing someone who cared or even loved you was there for you? Aria was the type of girl that when she fell she fell hard and she was very serious when it came to her relationships, all she wanted was love. Of course, she was grateful for the love her brother showed her now; there was no way she could have asked for a better brother. He was just the sweetest, not just worrying about her, but actually trying to cheer her up, what more could she ask for? Dinner was a surprise tonight and she had been out for a little bit to try and distract herself, but there was no way she would miss her dinner prepared by the best brother in the world.
She wanted tonight to be about both of them; she wanted to know what was going on in his life and Lord knew she could use any distract to forget about the sadness in her heart. She had just had coffee with Blaine and by the time she had gotten home he hadn’t finished cooking dinner so she decided to head upstairs to her room and try to write in her journal. It was her best method of venting and she had started in on a quarter of a page about how she was upset, finally Mike had called her down and she prepared a smile to offer him. “I’ll be right down Mikey!” She called out to him before closing her journal and slipping it underneath her bed then walked down to be greeted with the wonderful smell of well cooked lasagna. Once she reached the kitchen her smile grew and she saw him by the oven, “Mikey, this smells delicious.” She moved over to give him a hug and went to take her sweet, “You’re seriously the best for cooking for me, now to see if you were as successful with your lasagna because so far it smells delicious.”
The last week had been such a crappy week for Aria. The only two things holding her together right now were her best friends and her sweet brother. If it hadn’t of been for them she would have fallen into a severe state of depression, not that she didn’t feel like she was close, but at least she was better off because of her friends and family. Now to her surprise Ezra was in town and with the desire to talk to her again, maybe even work things out, which to be honest sounded incredible because she had really missed him and what they had before she moved away. If there was any hope of salvaging their previous relationship then she was lucky, especially after being broken up with by Sam. That had really hurt her and it still did because she felt like she had something really good with Sam, he even made her believe it, but he called it quits because despite falling for her she hadn’t been good enough to compare to his ex-girlfriend Quinn. Just thinking about it got her down and doubting herself, so she brushed the thoughts away and decided to go see Ezra.
She pulled on one of her neon pink high low skirts, a black top that was tucked in nicely and some heels to match. She figured she might as well look her best if she was going to see him. After getting the directions to his place and talking to him briefly she drove over to his new, but just as equally cramped as his previous apartment had been. She parked the car and headed upstairs knocking on the door briefly, feeling quite nervous. She chewed on her lower lip and looked down at her shoes feeling the butterflies in her stomach flutter. It had been so long since she had seen him and despite what he said about wanting to make things work maybe he’d feel differently when he saw her. This was common of her now to just doubt herself and she just did her absolute best to get rid of the negative thoughts and just wait patiently for him.
Aria: was looking for any excuse to either get out of the house or avoid being alone with her thoughts. She knew that if she stayed alone for too long she’d start over thinking ever little aspect in her life and start taking jabs at her ego because lately these days she was doing a splendid job or putting herself down. It wasn’t healthy and she figured instead of torturing herself for hours on end it’d be better to go hang out with her friend Blaine. She had found it very sweet of him to offer to talk and she couldn’t have said yes quicker. She pulled on one of her classic high-low skirts and a neon yellow off the shoulder shirt, finished off with some black heels. She didn’t take very long to arrive at the Lima Bean and she didn’t spot him at first so she decided to send him a quick text to Blaine to tell him she was there. What more could she want? She was going to get coffee and good company.
Aria: had received an urgent text from Hanna and it sounded like she was freaking out, which was why Aria didn’t hesitate to answer back and head on over to her Uncle’s place. All she did was grab her purse and keys and changed into shorts so she didn’t show up in pajamas bottoms. Lately, Aria was a walking mess and she didn’t feel like doing much of anything, especially after a break up, but one of her best friends sounded freaked and it was instinct for her to jump into overprotective bestie mode and she had to admit maybe hearing what was wrong with Hanna would take her mind off of all the crap going on in her life. She sighed and drove over to Hanna’s placer arriving in less than ten minutes. She knocked on the door and stood on her tip toes waiting patiently to see her beautiful, blond best friend.
Sam: was aching all over. He wasn’t sleeping, his heart and his head hurt and he knew that by the end of this evening, it was likely that he wasn’t going to be a very popular person among most of his friends. He knew it was necessary though; he had to do this. He could already feel a sting in the back of his eyes as he drove over, it not waning when he got to the front door of Aria’s home and gave it a gentle knock. A quiet clearing of his throat and he forced himself to keep his hands from deep in his pockets, so he didn’t look as nervous as he felt.
